leave for + 地點(diǎn)

We will leave for Denver at dawn.  (我們黃昏出發(fā)去丹佛。)

我在字典和網(wǎng)上同時(shí)搜查了一下，發(fā)現(xiàn)leave to在英格蘭和美國(guó)幾乎沒有同樣的用法。有可能愛爾蘭式英語里會(huì)有？以下是論壇截圖，重點(diǎn)用紅筆標(biāo)出。

leave + 某物+ to + 人

1）表示放棄

      There is nothing we can do about the situation. Let's leave it to the will of God. (我們對(duì)這種情況無能為力，只能聽從上帝的旨意了)

2）表示遺囑　(文藝腔）

I will leave this watch to one of my grandchildren.

（我將把手表留給我的孫子。）

My grandfather left his house to my mother. 

（祖父把房子留給了母親。）

3）表示分配

I will leave this last little bit of the job to you. 

（我把剩下的任務(wù)交給你啦。）

當(dāng)然，你永遠(yuǎn)都可以用動(dòng)詞+to　表示目的

I am leaving to get there on time.

(我現(xiàn)在出發(fā)，為了準(zhǔn)時(shí)到達(dá)。)

leave for和leave to的區(qū)別

leave for 是出發(fā)至某處

如: He left for Beijing yesterday.

leave sth for sb 是把什么留給什么人

如：She left these flowers for you.

leave sb for sb 是離開什么人去和什么人在一起

如：He left his wife for a young lady.

leave sth to do sth 是指為做某事離開某處

如：He left her house to catch the last bus.

leave sb doing sth 是讓某人單獨(dú)做某事
